Hello & Welcome to Australian Made Organics
Some eight years ago I watched helplessly, my 2 best friends battle breast Cancer. One a fulltime hair dresser the other addicted to being a bottle blonde for 25 years or more. At first the devastating shock and panic overwhelmed us all, then the WHY? HOW? WHAT? — What caused their Cancer?
We looked at the possible causes and all research led us back to their chemical exposures in the Hair Salon…. Not only do women unknowingly put toxic chemicals all over their scalps but we smother ourselves daily with the stuff thinking these substances will make us more beautiful… Never considering the long term effects of inhailing synthetic hairspray, hairdyes, perfumes and beauty accessories. Appreciating our natural beauty had been lost in magazines, media, movies, advertising and in society as the pressure mounted to look glamorous whatever the cost.
Statistics show that the beauty industry is toxic and can be deadly. It has the highest incidence of non hodgens lymphoma, indomytriosis, hormonal imbalances and much more. See Environmentalist & Toxicologist website DR Peter DINGLE and his book called “Dangerous Beauty”.
In addition to this horror story we discovered that eating non organic food also had a contributing factor to compromising our immune systems when battling Cancer, Chronic Fatigue, Glandular Fever. Immediately, we started to look at what our food was exposed to, how far it travelled and who was growing it for us.
It became more alarming during my Organic Farming Course, when we learned that 97% of all NON Certified Organic Fruit and Vegetables are treated with systemic pesticides, which means, this food is sprayed from seed and it cannot be washed off, when a bug feeds off the food it dies quickly. WHAT THE?
Not to mention, that the average piece of fruit & veg travels some 1500 klms to get to the supermarket. We eat food out of season and don’t have any idea as to what’s in season and what’s not. We had really lost our way… that was until now..
A simple question to ask yourself is:
WOULD YOU LIKE TO EAT FOOD SOAKED IN TOXIC CHEMICALS —OR— FOOD WITHOUT?
It is our god given right to make an informed choice, once we have access to the truth, this truth can be lost in a good story on the front page of a newspaper. HHHMMMM…food for thought….
The only way we can protect ourselves is to start asking for Certified Organic, Local, and Sustainable Farming practices for both our families and every other living thing.
See website www.bfa.com.au, Press Releases “farmers not willing to forgo health” — Largest Organic Farmer in QLD writes a wonderful story about his family and why he won”t poison yours.
So enough of that stuff, you are about to join me on an incredible journey through proudly hosting NEW environmental/life changing documentary Film Nights/Matinees to discover that “if it is 2 b then it’s up 2 me”… ”lov wot u do”! How can you put a price on this?
